Customer Reviews

I enjoyed it so much that I ordered a few for ...An impeccable piece of equipment was ordered by my gym for my team of trainers and trainees specifically for a full workout composed of cardio and total body strength. This pulse jumprope was that piece of equipment. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered a few for myself and for my son. It is built to last and the durability of this jump rope is great since it has been hitting the floors without a hint of damage. It has perfect control and upon testing we realized that this rope has the capacity to help burn over 1,000 calories per hour. Just one minute of using this rope with proper form and my arms were BURNING. To my surprise I was actually sore in my forearms, biceps, back, shoulders, traps and legs. It has definitely improved my strength and endurance. The breakdown of the rope is as follows:1.You receive it promptly by amazon prime within 2 days in an exquisite looking black box (which I still use to carry from home to gym to the park)2.An aesthetic red/black jump rope which gives you the sport like feel with the Pulse logo engraved at the bottom.3.The instructions which clearly state how to cut/adjust the rope to its proper length should you need to.4. Caps which can be dissembled to remove the weights completely or throw in weights of your own5. A thicker than usual heavy duty rope which I have used indoors and outdoors and can take a beating into concrete like a champ6. Ball bearing caps for allowing for tangle free roping with silky smooth rotation.Overall I am more than completely satisfied with this rope. I decided to take this video to show you rather than just tell you.Its a confident buy and an investment in your overall well-being.Sent from my iPhone 5Rope seems overpriced at $24.99. Similar Rope is $4.99 at Walmart. The following review is my experience which may differ from yours. This rope seems to be vinyl and comes severely kinked since it is packaged very tightly. Even after a few hours of use it still manages to tangle. I have hung it over night hoping it will lose it memory but the next morning it still tangles. It's definitely not worth the $24.99 but more like $5. What seems to be bearings in the handle don't allow the rope to move freely preventing tangles. Not the quality I expected at a premium price.Edit: After using the jump rope for a few more hours it has begun to sort of work and doesn't tangle as much. I had to lubricate the bearings in the handles also. But I did do some more research and found that Walmart sells a very similar Jump Rope (you be the judge) under the Golds Gym Brand for $4.99.I am adding the picture of a side by side comparison. I have found very little difference between the two. They are nearly identical. So I was correct saying the Pulse Rope was not worth $24.99 since the Golds Gym Jump Rope at Walmart is $4.99.Edit: The Pulse Rope finally performs like I would expect but it took quite a while to work out and the Walmart Jump Rope performs just as well. I have done a little more comparing and added a photo of what is inside the handles of both Jump Ropes. The rope itself seems to be the same thickness and the feel of the handles seems to be the same also in my opinion. Is the Pulse Jump Rope worth $24.99 compared to the nearly identical Golds Gym Jump Rope at $4.99 at Walmart? I'll leave that up to you to decide. 1Simple, Intuitive, with decent heft...great for the academic. For myself, the work I'm used to doing is very physical and demanding. However, having gone back to school I've had to quit my job for a season in order to keep up with my studies. As such, it's easy to get bogged down and neglect one's physical well-being. After awhile in school, I began to feel sluggish again and part of that was because of the long stretches of inactivity I allowed myself to get into. I largely got a my workout manipulating weights of up to 300 lbs or so through work, so I never really paid much attention to to a workout regimen. It's only fair to state that I'm just an average joe who is looking to stay fit and active, not a person that is focused on creating a powerful physique. And in my research, I found that jump roping is a great medium for a good general workout.I started with an unweighted speed rope but wanted something with a little more resistance...and thus the Pulse fit the bill. The handles are a very good size. The diameter is about 1.25" and the length is 5.75". There is one 0.5 lb weights in each handle for a total of 1 lb. The handles are also foam covered. Something I noticed was that the build of the jump rope is quite sturdy. Even the plastic of the handles were durable. Even dropped it once on tile and no cracks or breaks. Making adjustments is a cinch but keep in mind that you will be cutting the 10ft rubber rope. Thus, all your adjustments will be permanent. If you over cut, you'll need to replace the rope. This rope doesn't taggle in my experience. When it came out of the box, the coiling did imprint itself so at first the rope would have bends and curvatures that depicted that, but I found that hanging it overnight basically removes "the wrinkles" and straightens the rope out (thanks to the weights pulling down on it) and thus removes possible tangles. This is a good and simple rope. It lacks the customization of a crossrope where you can change the ropes to all these different kinds, but I'm a simple guy with simple goals. At a fraction of the cost a crossrope demands, this provides a good weighty workout while still feeling confident in the equipment. Just make sure to adjust the rope to your proper size. 5Will have you sweating bullets!Even though during my workouts with this jump rope you'll hear me say "Eff this jump rope", I actually really love it. It kicks my butt and I can definitely feel my HIIT workouts being much more difficult in comparison to the speed rope I was using. Adjusting the rope to the right height is not difficult but finding the right height can be. The downside is that once you cut it, you can't go back and add length again. This also means it's difficult to share between people of different heights. (I'm comparing to speed ropes which are easily adjustable to different lengths). But for myself, this rope works perfect and feels very durable. I definitely do not recommend this for someone who is just starting off with jump roping. Learn the "ropes" of getting the right rhythm with a beginners rope or speed rope and then work with this!5Great rope for the price! This rope shipped fast and was as described. The handles design are better than older styles I have used. I jump rope quite a bit and the problem I was having was the rope pulling out of the handle after breaking it in, but the rope fasteners used In this one solved that problem. In addition, the handles are very comfortable to hold and grip. I don t use the weights in the handle, as I prefer the lighter handles when I jump. To get an even better spin I use a little bit of silicone spray on the bearings. The rope is a little thicker than what I usually use but still feels great and should thin out a bit with use over time and will be great for beginners who need to feel the rope when they first start jumping. I have tried several styles of ropes from inexpensive ones to some very expensive ones and I keep coming back to this style as one of my favorite jump ropes. Here is a video of me testing it out. Great rope for the price! 5Great Jump Rope. Would recommend to others looking for something of higher quality!Hi, got this jump rope almost two weeks ago so I can't comment on the longevity or robustness of the product. I can say that the quality of everything was very very high, including the rope itself, the handles, and even the packaging. I am not an experienced jump-roper, but I am glad to be able to learn and get better with something that is higher quality like this. Also, it is kind of anxiety-provoking to not be able to re-adjust the length of the rope, but I knew that before buying it. I can't think of any other cons other than that - it also stings when I whip myself accidentally! Overall, I would recommend the jump rope and also say that it is worth the price. It is much better than the last one I bought in the past (from another company) that broke after a year - still NOT happy about that!*For full disclosure, I was asked by Pulse to provide an honest and "genuine" review of their jump rope. I have done so to the best of my ability, so hopefully you find my review helpful. 5Passed my abusive usage. This is a very well made jump rope. I've tried a few off others off of amazon and this one is the best one. I do kickboxing and I was looking for a good weighted jump rope to improve my workout. I've been using these for two weeks straight and with all the abuse I've given it, I gotta say they are pretty solid. I'm 5'8" and this jump rope came with instructions to shorten the jump rope. All I had to do was unscrew the handle and cut 3 inches off.5Excellent Heavy RopeThis is a solid jump rope. Adjusting was quick and painless, and I have already used it at least five times in the week I have owned it. The bearings in the handle make for an easy and smooth turn and the grip makes it pretty effortless. The rope that is used is a plastic product, it is much thicker than the ropes I have used in the past that are made of the same material. This rope unfurls easily and does not have a tendency to hold shape if it was bent at all. This is very valuable because this rope is easy to open and get jumping. The bearings are very easy to string together multiple double unders. So overall, this rope is a great buy for a heavy rope. It's very easy to get out and get jumping. The weighted handles will get you sweating in a totally different way than a speed rope. Great upper body activation to keep the weighted handles moving makes for a really tough workout.5Good rope, but too shortGood rope, but too short. only slightly over 8 feet, rather than the 10 feet per the brochure. customer service did contact me and said they would replace it. So that is good. The rope is heavier grade than my last one. a kind of rubbery material that swings easily, not metal which can hurt you, or hard plastic, which was too thin and light. and broke after several months). this rope is fast due to the bearings in the handles. the handles are padded and comfortable, and weighted. I like the rope except that is too short. 4Great Customer Service! This is what my son was looking for. It is well made, and works the way he expected it to. The product was delivered on time, and well packaged.**UPDATE: May 8th... it's not as good as we thought. My son used this 3-4 times per week, and one of the handles came off the day the return window closed... Not as good of an investment as we thought. :(**Update: June 1st... The seller reached out to me to follow up on above review. They provided GREAT customer service, and replaced the jump rope for us. We have had no issues with the new jump rope. My son uses this on a regular basis, and really likes it.I would buy again from Pulse Athletics.5Great jump rope for Boxing and Martial ArtsI have been searching around for a good jump rope for some time now. I got one at modell s and used it a few times but I just couldn t use it anymore. The handles had weight to them which is good, but the rope itself was just so insignificantly light and always tangled. I came across this jump rope in my Facebook feed, and because of its description, I saw that the rope was a bit thicker and decided to give it a shot. I train in MMA and need a good quality jump rope. First off let me say that the jump rope wasn t packed in some cheap plastic. It came in a sturdy box. The rope is absolutely Much better than the modell s jump rope. When using it I can feel the propulsion of the rope as it spins, the handles are slightly weighted and have good foam handles. The rope was a bit long for me, so following the instructions given, I was able to shorten it quite easily. I m very impressed with the quality of this jump rope for the price. The other guys in my class also bought them when trying it out. I give credit where credit is due 5 STARS.UPDATE: I've been using this for about a year now and it is still an awesome jump rope. 5Fantastic rope! This is my second jump rope since I started jumping about 6 months ago, and I absolutely love this one! The other was a speed rope that was basically a steel cable with a thin, rubber case around it. That thing HURT when it snagged your shins. This one is much easier to keep in rhythm, and the thicker rope is easier for me to control. I also LOVE the weighted handles - they really add to the workout! 5So worth it!I added rope-jumping to my gym workouts a few months ago by utilizing the ropes available in my gym. Good, but not great -- sometimes the ropes went AWOL. So I decided to buy my own. Wow, what a difference! I love the weighted handles -- yes, they do make your workout harder! And I love having them with me all the time, for my use only. I thought I'd be sharing then with my daughter but since she's a few inches shorter than me, she needs her own. It's so easy to customize this rope to your desired length and the price is right, so I think she and I deserve our own jump ropes. A great addition to my fitness routine.5This has been a great rope so farThis has been a great rope so far! I've done 3 days of HIIT jump rope workouts from the Zen Dude Fitness guys and this rope works really well for it! I'm glad I don't have to spend an a$$ load of money for a good jump rope that has some heft and weight to give me a good workout. The rope is durable and is holding up nicely with my use at the gym and the concrete floors of my garage. It's a cinch to adjust to the size you need and you can remove or add the weights with ease! The handle just screws off and on! I love that these have the ball bearings to make spinning the rope easier. I have done crossfit in the past and used to think the skinnier, lighter speed ropes were the way to go. I've changed my mind and think weighted ropes offer a better workout! The only thing I wish this rope has is a second option for a heavier, thicker rope to increase the resistance for workouts. But that's such a small non-issue that doesn't really even take down the star rating. 5So pretty false advertising for thatReturned. The handles are where the weight is, not the rope. I misunderstood. The title implies that the rope is where the weight is. So pretty false advertising for that. I did read the comments and Q and A's and they did specify there, but I got before I thought to read those. I bought due to the item title and description (you should be able to trust that!)They felt clunky. The rope didn't have a good feel to me (complete newbie). So returned instantly.Mine also came with a ding on one handle that would cause scratching on my wrist if I had actually kept and used it regularly. 3
