    A confidence builder and game changer for me.I really like having that equator line around the ball. My handicap is 20. I play with used balls 90% of the time. While marking these used balls I have found that many of them are 'out of round' or 'egg shape'. When spinning them to find the center of gravity, I have had to quickly take them out of the device and discard them because they bounced around violently. No wonder that some balls will hook or slice or fly weird. Surprise! It really is the ball and not you.I now take a little extra time to line up my ball before I tee off. Now my shots are straighter and I think they fly further.Also I now take extra time and care to line up my putt on the green. I can see that the ball rolls true. I am now putting better. 5Easy, fun, and it really works.This is the coolest thing! Even top-brand golf balls are NOT balanced out-of-the-box, such that the line is the actual line of rotation, ie, the equator. This device reliably and consistently finds that equator, as well as the lightest (and conversely, the heaviest) point, ie poles, on the ball, at a right angle to the equator. How do I know it works? You can take a previously-marked ball and it will find that same equator and poles! In theory, if a ball were perfectly balanced, any orientation would also work, but I have yet to find one.Does it actually help? I guess that would depend on you and your swing. But I can t think of any circumstance where it would actually hurt. So if it helped, even slightly, on your drives and shaved even one putt off of your game, isn t that worth $28?I ve been buying these for golf friends, my golf instructor, and, of course, for me. One of them says than Zen balls are factory-balanced, such that the logo line is the true equator. But I don t use Zen balls, so I use the Check-Go on the balls I like, and voila! You ll be surprised at how much even the top-brand balls benefit from balancing.The Check-Go is less than $30 and is easy - even fun - to use. But maybe I shouldn t be telling everybody about it, and keep it as my secret weapon... 5Not really sure about thisNot 100% sure if this machine really helps with game to be honest.. i had to used a combination of Epsom Salt floating test and this machine tofind a close median for the ball.. but remember, most balls made now DO NOT require this machine because there are balanced! I would just use this for balls that you pick up in the woods or your back yard that looked pretty worn out or just to check balance on any balls that you may have questions... I found you have to use this machine and epsom salt water floating test to make it work 3Improve your aimI think it gives you a lot of value to know where the true center of gravity is. Great to align off the tee, helps your alignment and aim a lot, and great to line up your putt. Without any scientific explanation, I think the ball rolls straighter when aligned from the mark from this device. For $30, why not? You will spend at least $10 on a plastic device to mark your ball, spend the extra $20 and get this.I have seen videos where they use the "check for go pro", then drop the ball in the water, and it does not float with the line up--who cares! This device finds the center of gravity by simulating the high spin rate of a golf shot which is what happens on the course. 5Gimmick or Science?After a lot of reading about ball balance (which I never thought about) from salt water marking to the Check-Go, I decided to get the product. Testing many many balls to see how this product reacted was fascinating! I found that no matter the manufacturer of the golf balls, most were not balanced perfect (using salt water or the Check-Go proved it).Now I don't like buying expensive balls because I just can't justify spending dollars for a ball versus pennies for a good comfortable feeling ball. Less crying when I lose a cheaper ball versus a $6 ball. I have played expensive balls and the Wilson Smart core balls, which I enjoy and found very little difference in play and comfort (I shoot mid to high 80's). So testing the balance between different golf balls was so interesting.Using the saltwater test indicated that about 90% of the balls were off balance and that the same spot would come to the top, if it didn't it showed the ball was balanced. Crossing this information over to the Check-Go showed the same thing, but lined with the "Equator" of the ball. The spot I marked from the first try with the Check-Go came back to the top. A small percent of the balls the marked spot went to the bottom, but the equator was the same. A smaller percent of the balls never lined back up the same, indicating the ball was a perfect balanced ball. Which matched the saltwater test.What I found interesting, was that the alignment between the two different methods very seldom showed the same location and were different by several degrees. Not sure which is better at this point, but I sure am looking forward to spring to test it on the course. My wife thinks I am crazy, but she doesn't play golf. LOLThe science behind "balance" makes sense to me, if you think about the weight being off some and the process of high speed manufacturing. How many putts are missed by just a very small amount? Not saying it will make me a scratch player (oh but that would be nice), but if it helps me make 4 puts more in a 18 hole round, it will be worth it.Bring on Golf season!!! 4not worth itI used two different brands of balls in the Check-Go. One was a very well known brand and the other was one a friend uses and she recommended it to me. I tried several balls from each brand and could NOT find the SAME center of gravity on any ball. If the ball is out of balance, you should get the same center of gravity with the Check-Go every time you use it. That tells me that balls made now are generally in balance and you do not need to use this item. I do not recommend the Check-Go 1Not worth the purchase! Batteries die and that's that.This is awesome until the batteries fade. I was told by the seller that the batteries are replaceable. Ok cool, I'm a handy guy, so I grab a mini Phillips head and undo the screws, open it up and two parts fell out. The start button and the spacer. No biggie. Upon further inspection I see that the batteries are sealed in a plastic housing that won't open. So I try to put it back together. Hahaha. Good luck! Nuttin but a POS I tried and tried. Based on what I just went through I'd say the batteries ARE NOT replaceable nor rechargeable. Not worth the purchase 1Major issueThis doesn t work at all. I tried this with new balls and it just bounces around as it spins in there. Tried it on multiple surfaces and then even tried it on top of a leveler.The equator line is different every single time on the same new ball on the leveler surface. Every time I put the ball in it just bounces around and I have to stop it for a second and then rev it up again.This is just a poorly designed product. I m not sure if mine was defective but I literally just scuffed up enough brand new balls to cost more than this ball marking device is worth. 1Good Product...could be beefed up!Technasonic Check-Go Pro Sweet Spot Electronic Golf Ball Liner Item works well, but a bit flimsy. The part that is removed to insert a ball, cracked the 2nd time I used it. Super glue, and it is work well. The marker provided is not as accurate as it could be, and replacement markers are expensive.Bic Mark It Permanent Markers (fine) work well, they center themselves and just touch the ball. 4It's won't fix a slice, but...I bought one of these years ago thinking it would cure my wicked slice. It did not. But I did notice a difference in my game. The ball did seem to fly straighter off the tee more often. My putts seemed to go straighter too. Was it because the ball was lined up to it's center of gravity better or was I trying harder to swing better? It's hard to tell. Either way it helped me. Isn't that the point? The machine doesn't grip the ball tight. It merely spins it on a platform at 10000 rpm. It is basically floating on a disc while you try to put a mark on it so there is some possibility of throwing off the centerline a bit if you push too hard. I have spun balls a second time and got a different line drawn. But is was pretty close to the original line. It was a "Pinnacle Exception". Others came back to the same centerline. Also re-spun Titleist ProV1 and they came back too. Not every ball will come back to the same center as some are nearly perfectly centered already. If you want the ball to re-center every time I suppose you could buy cheap, unbalanced balls. That would help I guess. I just purchased the newest version and it works every bit a good as the previous one did. I'm still working on my slice. It won't "fix" your game, but it might help it a little. If you're looking to really fix things, take some lessons and practice more. 4
