Customer Reviews

One of my top 3 favorite grips!Put these on my 2019 Trek Marlin 5.Grip is 10/10.Durability-They have held up great, I honestly haven't road but 10 miles with them so far but no signs of wear as of now.Thickness- These are thin, I almost sent them back, because I'm stupid and didnt pay attention to detail when I ordered these. I like thicker grips, but am getting use to these. Hopefully this saves somebody time if you re like me and like thicker grips. Im curious on how long they ll last with how thin they are. I ll give an update when its time to replace these grips to show about how long they last.5Not too thick, not too thin.Oversized grips have a tendency to cushion bumps but limit the feel of handling. With the Half Nelson grips, ou get a good response with a tacky feel with or without gloves and just right amount of cushion. The lock and install were easy. Colors are cool. End plugs are basically junk but who doesn t have a tray full of plugs somewhere.5Raceface is my go to for all parts: new bikes, sex changed bikes, built is always better than bought!!At first when I installed the awesome grips I was a little concerned because they only have one bolt in... where my kona ones had two... but soon as I hopped on and took off they where just as solid as the others if no more... I went through the national park on Saturday morning.. with in 2 hours of riding I had 4 hikers call out how kick a** my down hill bike looked... oddly enough that has never happened usually people never notice the type of bike. I didn t even notice that they went with my bars.... two years ago I bought the Atlas handle bars (in gold) from raceface they have the same design in them looks 100% they grip @ 100% they even feel good with not gloves. So yes, yes, yes, yes on these cool blue grips. I am building another bike for a friend and he will be getting a pair as well.To the seller: 100% super fast delivery, these are exactly what I was looking for. Would I buy through them again? Yes yes yes! Thanks for making it easy and being humble.5Good but goofy installBought these for my son's 24" MTB. We changed his grip shifters out to triggers to give him more control and a full grip. I've got Lizard Skins on my bike and like them, and they have locking collars on both ends. These were a bit cheaper and my son liked the design, so I got them even though the locking collar is only on one end of the grip.So I installed them and they are very comfortable with a relatively thin profile, which we wanted for his smaller hand size. They look sharp, too. My only complaint is that they twisted easily on the bar, even with the collar cranked all the way down tight. The collar end wouldn't move, but the rest of the grip would. Which kind of begs the question of why you'd design a grip with one collar- seems like you'd do two or none at all.We did a couple of rides and while they didn't seems like they'd come off, the idea of them doing just that made me nervous. So we removed them, cleaned everything, and reinstalled with hairspray. Problem solved- they are locked on there and the collar probably isn't even necessary. Great grips, and they aren't going anywhere now.4Great feel cheap hardware. The grips feel nice but the hardware they included I feel is cheap. I went to attach the grips and screw down the clamp and the grip was still a little loose. So I tightened the screw and it stripped out the Allen head. Now I can neither remove the grip or tighten it cause the screw is stripped. I assume the only way to remove the screw is to cut it off.3Not really impressed, but still trying them outMy son got these for me for my birthday since I am a fan of raceface products. On my hardtail I run a set of ODI clamp on grips but decided to give these a shot on my full sus. So far, I am not overly impressed with the feeling of these. They are fairly thin compared to my ODI grips and not as sticky. Plus, the raceface logo on them gives the grips a weird feeling while riding. I have tried them in different positions and just can seem to find the right position. Also, the bar ends supplied with them are paper thin and quite cheap. If purchasing, grab a set of ODI bar plugs while you are at it. I have only rode with them installed for 2 rides now. 1 ride was an 18 mile XC/Technical course with some flowy DH, and the other was a 5 mile downhill course consisting of wood plank berms, jumps and rock gardens. For the 18 mile ride, I found myself yearning for additional comfort in the grips, and on the DH course I found my self searching for increased grip and vibration resistance. I will give these a few more rides to see if I acclimate to them, and if not, I will ditch them. Overall, I give them a 5 for ease of install, a 3 for comfort, and a 2 for overall grip with an overall satisfaction rating of 3/5 stars.3Grippy, comfortable, greatMy wife bought a used mountain bike off a woman who races enduro, and the bike came with these grips. I was impressed by how tacky and low profile and comfortable the grips were, so I got a pair to replace the standard issue grips on a new Trek Fuel EX I got. While I think they're even tackier after they're broken in, they have great grip right out of the box. The Trek grips made my hands a little numb, and got slick with any sweat. Those problems are gone with these grips, and I feel I have a lot more confidence and control, especially when I'm leaning the bike over or barreling through a rough section. I'm not super hardcore, but I've been mountain biking off and on for 25-ish years, and these are the best grips I've owned.5Get a grip!Good quality set of grips. Took longer to get the old stock grips off than it did to get these on. Just slide them on and lock in place using a hex wrench. After a full season of use, they ve held up well and haven t required retightening at all. The silicone grip is just tacky enough to ride comfortably and confidently while not being a hinderance for quick release. Will definitely buy these again.5Super easy to install, feel good, look greatEasy to install. Slipped right on handlebars of Specialized Hardrock and cam locks secured easily with Allen wrench. Did not experience screw stripping as some have mentioned, just don t over tighten. Hand tighten and check that the grip won t turn with some effort. If it does, then tighten a little more and recheck. These grips look good and have a nice tacky feel. They are a bit on the smaller side, but perfect for my son and if you re going to wear gloves at times. Hope they hold up and don t attract dirt too easily. Some reviewer stated the red color is neon red. The pair I received is a nice bright red and matches my son s bike very well. If these hold up well they ll be a great buy at the price. I have ODI grips on my bike and almost like these RaceFace better.4End caps don't workThese are comfortable with a good deal of control, but there's a design flaw. The end cap is designed to be clamped down on the end of the handlebars. The problem is that the end cap will squeeze the end piece in such a way that, when tightened, it pushes itself off the end of the bar. There needs to be a lip or groove for the end cap to fit into in order for it to stay put. I just used my stock end plugs to get by since I like the grips which will work fine - but this is a pretty obvious design failure that any R&D or engineer should be able to spot. I'm surprised Raceface hasn't fixed this issue.2
