It can't get any more minimalist than thisI had been looking for a wallet of this general style for a while and I'm really happy with this one. I wanted to find the smallest wallet possible in order to free up space in my pocket for other things, and it couldn't possibly get any smaller than this. There is a slight trade-off: which is that removing cards is still a little slower than with a traditional wallet (and removing cash is even slower), but I think it's well worth it. The notches on either end allow you to push the cards out slightly, so that you can pinch the sides of the wallet and separate the cards out slightly. Sliding out an individual card from there still takes a slight tug and wiggle, but it's not difficult after some practice. The two plates are legit carbon fiber and are very rigid. I don't foresee them ever wearing out or breaking. I've only used it for a few days so I can't say much about the durability of the bands, but they seem like good quality so far.Even if you don't find this practical for every day carry, it would be great to have available when you need it - like if you're going out in clothes with annoyingly small pockets, or if you want to fit your wallet and phone in the same pocket so that the other one is free for concealed carry.I chose this one over the nearly identical wallet sold by atziloose because this one came with replacement bands and because the branding is more subtle (engraved instead of painted). The other one claims to be RFID blocking, but I don't know how much good it would really do when the chip on most credit cards would still be exposed through the notches on the ends.As some other reviewer pointed out, this is in fact just 2 pieces of carbon fiber and a band. The shape and rigidity makes it tremendously more practical than just a rubber band wrapped around some credit cards.5Solid alternative for the leather brick walletPosted by my husband: I've always had that bi or tri fold wallet that was like a brick in my pocket. The great thing about those big leather wallets is that everything is easily accessible. I got this 'wallet' because I got tired of carrying around that leather brick. I was originally concerned this would not hold my credit cards securely, but to my surprise, it does a solid job. It's very slim and takes up maybe 1/3 of the space of my old wallet. But you do sacrifice ease of access. It's not difficult to get stuff out, but it's not quick either. And god forbid you can't find what you're looking for and have to pull all the cards out - it will take you a minute and two hands to get the band back on and your cards back in. That's a minor thing, though. it's a solid alternative to the leather brick I used to carry. If you put your cash under the band, it will fit and hold it snugly, but you have to fold it in thirds. If you're worried about the band losing it's tightness, they give you three more. So far, so good.4I've got 2 WALLETS and 3 RINGS...LOVE LOVE LOVE FIDELO PRODUCTS!!UPDATE BELOW!I am a minimalist. I truly believe in carrying only what's absolutely necessary for the task at hand. For EDC (Every Day Carry), this typically includes a wallet, set of car keys, pocket knife, and depending on the day...other additions. So I need a way to easily carry my most often used "wallet items" like my ID, debit card, and a small amount of cash. Most common wallets have several card slots, ID windows, cash pockets, etc. Well, my EDC consists of only 2-3 cards and some cash at any given time so average wallets are not only bulky, but slightly redundant for my needs. Enter Fidelo Slim Carbon Fiber Wallet. My love of carbon fiber (and kydex) brought me to this pick, and I'm stoked that it did. This wallet is exactly what I need! My EDC is covered everyday in a perfectly-sized wallet, and when I need to carry more (like my insurance card for a doctor visit, or credit card for travel emergencies, or business cards for a marketing lunch, or literally WHATEVER...) I'm covered...and covered to the perfectly-sized wallet specs again!AND...I've since been interacting with this company about the design idea as well as the other products (Silicon Rings) and I can confidently say that they have a customer/friend for life...and I've never even met them formally!**UPDATE**I've been wearing Fidelo's Silicone Ring for a few months now, and I'll never buy another brand again. Here's why; many brands (including QALO, and various 'off brands' I've tried) DO NOT fit true to ring size. Here's what happened with 3 other brands. I'll order my ring size (10) and get a band that fits on my ring finger (seems correct rigth?). Then, after a day or two, the skin under my ring will get "pruny" (like I've been bathing or swimming too long). This, I've come to find out is due to the ring being far too tight. So, to aleviate problem, I was forced to go up a size (11) or two (size 12 with QALO). And then...they stretch after some everyday wear to a size that easily slips off! Soooo frustrating!!Fidelo's rings are the ONLY SOLUTION I've found. They are TRUE to size, and I've worn mine for nearly 4 months now with NO stretching, or 'pruny' issues. PLUS...THEY HAVE THE BEST DESIGN with a beveled edge on both sides!**UPDATE**Loved my carbon fiber wallet so much that I was STOKED to see the Woodsman! I've got the darker Maple Woodsman, and aside from the contemporary styling that is afforded me...the style and sleek design is PERFECT for EDC! This wallet is a true "man's man" wallet.5Excellent Money Clip Minimalist Wallet (see video provided) This wallet is fantastic and in no way similar to your standard bulky back pocket wallet. After playing with it for a few minutes, I figured out that if you push the cards out from one end and then squeeze that same end, your cards will fan out making it extremely easy to take the desired card out and put it back in. I tested it out with 8 cards and a bit of cash. I held everything tightly but could handle more of each. It is very slim and fits nicely into my pants front pocket. The Carbon fiber is very nice looking and light. It is very well designed and has no sharp edges. The company logo is engraved right into the material adding to the high end look. The bands seem well made and I love that this wallet comes with 4 different color bands. I was really impressed with the packaging which is great as I plan to send a bunch of these wallets as Christmas Gifts. Overall this is a great choice for a front pocket wallet for a good price. I would highly recommend.Update:1st wallet reviewed above - accessing cards is very easy, super light and extremely durable. The carbon fiber is way more resistant to dings and scratches when compared to my previous wallet that was made from aluminum.Purchased 2 new versions. The X-SERIES for its RFID protection for when I go traveling and the Maple Wood version as I love wood products also. The wood wallet looks better than I thought it would and feels great in your hand. The x-series wallet has all the same great qualities as my 1st Fidelo wallet which I believe the company has listed as the Minimalist - Original. The packaging has definitely gotten nicer which is a plus for gift giving. I'll be using this for years to come5Great minimal walletI just received my wallet last weekend and have been using it since it has arrived. This is my first wallet of this design and was not sure what to expect, but i'm really starting to like the wallet.Once it is filled with cards it looks like it would be difficult to use, but the more I use it the easier it is to use. It is to where it seems easier and faster to get a card out of this wallet than it was my old trifold wallet. When following the recommend way by Fidelo, the cards become very easy to flip through and remove the desired card.The only part that looks like it could break or see wear and tear is the band that holds everything in place. That being said, the bands feel well built and like they would last a good while. Even if one does happen to break or get stretched, it comes with three others for four bands in total. The easy chip access that is noted in the pictures here on Amazon, is true. I did have the opportunity to try that this week on two different occasions and was able to use the chip on my card without having to remove the card from the wallet.The size of the wallet is another plus. Once I had my cards in it, it looks like ti would be terribly uncomfortable when I had in my back pocket. However, I barely feel the wallet when sitting down and when walking around I cannot really tell that it is still in my pocket. It is noticeably smaller in thickness, length, and width than my old trifold wallet, which is now empty.The only potential problem I see is for someone that carries around a lot of cash. The bills need to be folded in half twice which can makes the stack of bills much thicker. Right now mine is comfortably holding 11 cards and 7 bills. It could easily hold a couple more of each, but much more than that might make the wallet more difficult to use properly and get cards in and out.Overall, I think this is product is exactly as described and fits what I needed perfectly. Would certainly recommend this for someone that does not carry around a lot of cash.Side Note: If anyone else is curious like I was, this does allow RFID cards to be read through it. Where I work requires an RFID card to enter certain areas of the building. I have had no issues moving through the building and I have the card roughly in the middle of my stack of 11 cards. Our card readers have read it perfectly without me needing to remove the card.5works extremely well and very compact !love this! I've been trying out minimal type wallets & this one impressed me. the groove cut outs make it quick & easy to get at that one card I want. the elastic bands are great, nice & stretchy & not too tight that I can't get my cards out (I've had that problem with others, especially the silicone ones ). who doesn't love extra bands just in case, the blue one is a really nice shade. Side note, I happened to have other carbon plates from the many wallets I've tried out & had an idea, I put them in as dividers so now I have sections. one for credit cards, one for cash, reward cards, business cards, etc etc. it worked out perfectly!5Very nice & cool slim walletI'm bought this 'minimalist' wallet because I recently slimmed down from an old, fat one. Unfortunately, after removing all the excess crap in my old wallet, I experienced that annoying issue of having my credit card or license easily fall out because the it was too big! I figured this was an opportunity to try something different rather than buying yet another regular wallet.So far, this definitely works for me. It's light, it's very secure and I was pleasantly surprised it fit way more cards than I expected it to. More than enough for the essentials I've been keeping in it (Roughly 6 cards and about 7-10 bills) . The carbon fiber is very cool looking and the 3 different colored money bands are a nice bonus. I'll admit, I probably will just use one of the bands because I'm not all that 'fashionable' but it's nice to have extras just in case. Fits easily in my pockets and in my car (really didn't realize how much pain in the behind I endured while driving until I started taking that old one out but then I couldn't find an easy place to put it!). Also, one of the most noticeable (and hilarious) things I've noticed is that it really helped reduce the weight of my pants.I have prime and it came exactly two days later.
