Customer Reviews

SO STYLISH!!Very pleased with this stylish jacket! Such a good fit with a nice vintage look to it. I'm 5'11" and 210lbs, originally ordered a L but was too short and a bit fitted. The XL was definitely the better choice. The jacket is very lightweight and has a hidden hood in the collar, very nice.5Fits great, looks great, can't ask for more. This jacket is pretty heavy duty and looks to be made well. My only issue is that I was hoping it would be just a little bit longer. If I wash it and it shrinks at all then it'll be too short. Width is good though and the jacket is really nice. I am happy with my purchase.4Perfect for that Luke Cage steez, yo!I haven't been this happy with a jacket in longer than I can remember. It's exactly what I've been looking for for months, and it has been unusually difficult to find a jacket with the exact style, and fit that I've been after. I really wanted to find a Luke Cage style jacket, and one that would fit my 6'4", 240lb frame (with a 50" chest and extra long arms) that wasn't also super baggy in the waist. This one is a perfect fit, and is really comfortable. It's pretty light, but not as light as a windbreaker. It's just right for fall or spring days, or if you're into the cold like I am, winter days too (perhaps with a hoodie underneath). My only complaint is that the zipper is backwards to the traditional men's zipper (zipper is on the left on this jacket, instead of on the right5Well made, light jacketI almost always wear a Large, but had to return and purchase XL in this jacket. Large was pretty form-fitting, no room for a hoody and uncomfortable to sit down in. This is a good spring/fall weight jacket. Euro left zip takes some getting used to, not a deal breaker.5Great jacketI love the look of this jacket (size medium). I get compliments on it all the time. I knew I would have a snug fit being that it is the fitted version. I'm 5'5" 148 lbs. 42" chest with an athletic/muscular build. The chest fits great and fitted, the sleeves are a good length for me but my upper arms are tight, no fault of the jacket. The shoulders are a bit tight as well, again no fault of the jacket. I wear it daily so the issues are small. You get used to the zipper being on the opposite side. The material works great for windstopping but is not waterproof or resistant. I wear a (thick)base layer with this jacket and am comfortable down to the upper twenties. If I wear a t-shirt with the jacket it is comfortable down to the forties. If wearing in colder weather I suggest a neck gaiter or scarf. Incidentally, I wear this riding on an electric skateboard doing about 18mph average for about 4 miles non-stop so if I was just walking around town, I'm sure I'd be comfortable in even lower temperatures with the right added gear. I'm very happy with the purchase and it arrived surprisingly fast.5Unisex, runs slim and smallGreat looking jacket, but this is a unisex not a men's. The difference might not be noticeable to some. The zipper and buttons are on the opposite side, which isn't too odd coming from Germany. However, this leans more towards the feminine side of unisex. The shoulders are too tight, not made for a broad shoulder. That kinda throws the whole jacket off. If your slim, it's not a bad choice if you don't mind the buttons on the left. Just feels funny if you use them.Make sure you check into sizes that are unisex. They tend to run smaller & slimmer. If you've gotta return it, it's going to cost you $15+ since your dealing with an international seller ( They were easy to deal with, but can not provide postage ) . If your looking for a field jacket, this is a nice lightweight. Maybe go up a size. Take care, peace3Quality JacketThis is a great jacket. The price is reasonable considering the quality--strong stitching, sturdy material, good buttons, reliable zipper. It has 5 pockets: two upper chest, two lower chest and one inside pocket that closes with velcro (located near the left hip). There is also a hidden hood contained within a zipper, though the zipper is black as opposed to the color of the rest of the jacket--not a big deal, in my opinion. The product title specifies that the jacket is "short", but it's about the same length as the average jacket--the waist ends at the ends of the sleeves. If you want anything longer I would suggest getting a parka. Lastly, this is a jacket shell--meaning: it is loose enough to wear other layers underneath; it does not come with a secondary coat lining. It is warm enough for the typical autumn evening, but there is plenty of room to wear a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath during the winter. Also, it is not uncomfortably baggy if you decide to wear just a t-shirt underneath.Overall, the jacket is worth the premium price you'll pay--though $60 isn't steep for a jacket of this quality. Worth it.5About what I expected. No huge complaints. No unwanted surprises.Overall, I do like the jacket. A few points:- I read some reviews that said that it was slim fitting. I'm 5'11", 160 lbs, 42" chest. Because I like my jackets more loose fitting, I opted for the XL. I think I made the right choice. It fits perfectly in the shoulders, and is a little bigger than I would like in the mid-section. But, I think the Large would have been too slim fitting for my taste.- There is a drawstring going around the mid-section, so it could be cinched up some around the middle. That feature feels a little fragile, but I haven't really used it so far, so I can't say for certain. But, it was a pleasant surprise.- Sleeves: Yes, the sleeves are long (not as long as I was expecting, really), but there are two buttons on each side, with a tab, so that you can adjust the diameter of the wrist. I moved buttons, so that I could cinch up the wrists even more, and now they rest at my wrists. So, all is well there.- It is not a winter coat. It is barely more than a windbreaker. I was hoping that the material would be a bit thicker, but after reading reviews, I knew that it wasn't going to be a terribly warm jacket. I live in a warm climate, so this works for me. Just know that it will not be very useful in freezing temperatures.- Mine does pretty much look like the photos in the description. It is definitely a casual jacket.- There are several pockets. If you want to use any pockets for your hands, you'll have to unbutton the two lower outside pockets, and go through the top. There is no side access. There is one inside pocket. It is not at chest level, but rather, it is down at the bottom fringe on the left side. It fastens with a velcro tab, but does not have a flap at the top. I doubt I will be using it much.- The zipper is backward, but so far, has not caused any problems.- If you wear a watch, be careful of scratches. Each sleeve at the end has a little flap that folds over and snaps. The inside of the snap can scratch your watch if you aren't careful. I tuck my watch inside of my shirt sleeve before putting on the jacket.- The hood in the zippered collar is a thin nylon material. Unless I'm caught in a downpour for an extended period of time, it will likely never come out.- It does ship from outside of the U.S. But, for me, it arrived in no more than a couple of weeks, which beat the estimated arrival date.- For the price, I would give it a thumbs up.4Snappy Jacket Puts Spring in Step!First, a disclaimer: This jacket is NOT a standard M65 field jacket. It does not meet the specifications of the many manufacturers that offer a classic M65. For example, this jacket will not accommodate a winter liner, which is the only thing that disappointed me. That being said, this jacket is indeed an M65 "style" jacket. And "style" is the operative word. Unlike its American cousins, this jacket is cut in what is commonly referred to by clothiers as a European style; which is to say that it is very form fitting. So, if you are slim or athletically built, this jacket will look and feel as if it was tailored (assuming you pick the appropriate size). I am 5'11'', with a 38" chest, and the medium fits wonderfully. This jacket also has improved upon the original M65 in a couple significant ways. One, it has an inside pocket on the left side, with a Velcro closure, large enough for a wallet or passport. Secondly, the hood concealed in the collar is made of water-resistant nylon, instead of cotton. Anyone who has owned an M65 knows that you never really use the hood unless you get caught in the rain without a hat or umbrella. At least with this version of the coat, your head is far more likely to stay dry in a sudden downpour. Americans will have to get used to the zipper being on the opposite side, but that is a small price to pay for a really sharp casual jacket. As a final thought, when I first wore this jacket out if the house, my wife said, "Ooh, your sex appeal has just gone up a couple notches!" That is a fact.5I LOVE this jacketI LOVE this jacket. The fit is perfect. I ordered the XL. I am 6 ft 3 in tall, 34 waist, and a 43 in chest with long arms. This Jacket fits perfect. I ordered two of these jackets and they both came from GB ordered a week apart. One ordered on Amazon prime 2 day shipping. The other ordered standard free shipping. They both arrived in two days. The difference is the amazon prime option cost $10.00 more. Both jackets came from Transatlantic clothing. Fast standard shipping. Great looking and feeling jacket. Can't go wrong with this one.5
