Customer Reviews

So far so good. I just got these bootsSo far so good. I just got these boots, and I really like them. These seem more winter ready than the last pair I got...I believe those were the Emma or something like that. These Elle Tall's have much better tread on the bottom and seem slightly better quality. I sprayed them with water proofing, and I hope they hold up well in the Colorado winter. I usually wear an 8.5 and I ordered a 9 in these. The last pair I had were and 8.5 and they were REALLY snug at first. They get roomier as you wear them, but they were just a little too tight at first. The 9 fits well and they are really comfy.5Authentic, real wool, NO FUZZ left behind boots! Fit my wide calves in size 10.I bought the Wine colored Elle boot in tall on here, and the Charcoal colored Elle boot in tall from a retail store. They are identical in every way. I do almost all of my shopping online, but these were the 1st name brand Bearpaw boots that I've purchased from Amazon, so I wanted to be sure they were authentic. I just so happened to order these within the same week, and thus can easily compare the 2. I have pictures of each identifying mark for those who may have the same questions as me.AS FOR THE FIT: These fit as expected. I have a pretty wide calf, and was worried I wouldn't be able to find regular sized tall boots that fit. They are very snug on my calf, but as you can see, they do fit. Mine are a size 10, which probably gives a little more circumference in the calf. I know they don't show any additional circumstances as you go up in size, but I've found that they do go up to a big enough extent that the size 10's fit my calf. I am a bigger build, so if you're worried about these fitting your calf, I'm sure they're going to fit just fine. They will stretch a bit over time, as well. I originally bought a size 9, and my toes were squished to the tip. The 10 fits in the toe, but they are a bit narrow. I am usually a 10 in everything, but my daughter's size 9's in the Bearpaw "Emma" tall boots fit me good. Of course, she's been wearing them around for 2 years, so that may play a part. I don't know if the sizing has changed, or if it really just depends on the style, or if it's a hit or miss. To be honest, I never should have ordered a size 9. I know that much. Her boots fitting me was probably an anomaly. So, I'd say these are true to size, but do not size down. I do wish they were a bit wider in the foot and calf, but this is my experience with all boots of this style. You can roll the shaft down on these boot, as you can see. You do need to roll them down before putting them on, tho. There's not enough room in the shaft to roll them down after they're on you leg.Quality: These are made very well. Real leather, and real wool is used. You can always tell the difference in real wool vs. synthetic. I tried on a pair of Koolaburra Uggs from Kohl's, which is the lower end line for Uggs that they make special for certain retailers, and they are priced in line with Bearpaws. And...OMG, my whole black sock, and pant leg was covered in fuzz! I am not exaggerating. It was a massive amount. I couldn't believe how bad it was, because those boots were regular over a $100, too. I wear black pants almost always, so this was a big frustration, and thus, I did not buy any Koolaburra boots. There was not a speck of wool left anywhere after trying on these Bearpaw boots, because they have real wool. It feels much silkier, and plush to the touch. The Koolaburra Uggs were still thick, and still soft, but there was a difference in the texture. The Bearpaw brand is really stepping their game up, and are competing with the top of the line, real wooled Uggs, and for a much better price point. My daughter's Bearpaw's from last year look much better than her top of the line Uggs from last year. Now, will the Uggs actually stay intact longer? Probably. But, for the purposes of a couple of year's worth of use, these Bearpaw's are one of the best boots you can buy, and I am happy I've finally bought myself some, and not just some for my daughter. My wallet is happier, and I'm able to splurge on different colors like these wine boots, that I probably wouldn't have paid the price for in the other brand, due to them not matching as many of my outfits.Honestly, I'm a bit surprised with my findings, but, pleasantly surprised. If you're on the fence with quality doubts, or whether they'll fit your calf, I'd trust the quality, and the calf fit if you wear a size 9 or bigger, (from my personal experience at least), and Size up when in doubt. Because of how well these boots are made, I'd say this is one purchase worth at least trying. The rewards are high if they fit, and if you're not happy, you can always exchange them, or return them.5Awesome!!!!!I love Bearpaws and I think I own just about every kind of shoes/boot they sell. And these don t disappoint. Great boot, great price! The most comfortable things I ve ever put on my feet! Probably not good for my arches though since I should be wearing orthodtics but I can t help it! They re are so cuddly with the sheepskin lined inside, I can wear them any time as they don t cause me to sweat no matter the temperature, for the most part. Great boots! My only complaint is that I wish I could take out the footbed so I could wash them. I just buy new ones when they get dirty, which is really not good for the environment.5WarmThese are warm and comfortable. There does seem to be some inconsistency in overall cut and sizing. I ordered in gray, wine, tan and brown colors. The gray pair have been perfect. The wine and brown seem a tiny bit narrower in the foot even though they have been worn about the same amount of time as the gray pair so should have stretched equally. The tan pair don't seem to be as smoothly stitched around the foot and have rubbed a bit on my smallest toes. These do have a bit of stretch to them so may feel snug at first. The inner foot bed does seem to wear down a bit but adding sheepskin inner soles fixes this. These are cow suede and not sheepskin so I suspect they may be more durable in the long run than the all sheepskin brands but time will tell on that. It is difficult to tell in some listings but it seems that those with a ll or li in the color listing have natural colored linings rather than linings that match the outside color of the boot.4Finally, a boot that fits, but Neverwet technology not reallyFinally a boot that fits. I wear size 7 but for some reason trying to find boots that fit has been a problem. This was 9th pair. I read multiple reviews some said true to size some said size up. I ordered 7 and 8. The 8 fits with thick socks. The 7 could just barely get foot in with nylon. Adding to review still fit great but got a little salt on from roads. I have purchased Bearpaw cleaner Nd used for first time today. Now the video about the Neverwet on Bearpaw site shows water beading up on boot, not even close just soaked right in.5Elle vs MeadowI wear these boots almost everyday, in all kinds of weather. The "never wet" is not exactly accurate, water soaks in and can eventually seep through after hours and hours of wear. However, there are no water spots after they dry, and it really doesn't take long to dry. I like the thicker foam and excellent tread of this style vs. my other bear paw boots (the "meadow" style). These fit my feet perfectly, with a little extra room in the toe since I'm in between sizes. If you are wearing thicker socks, size up. The sheepskin is very plush and comfortable, keeping me warm in winter but not overly heated in warmer weather. The sheepskin and leather are much nicer than the meadow style also. In the meadow boot the sheepskin is not a true sheepskin, but a wool/faux blend so it matted (or felted) instantly. The meadow boots are very loose in the foot, whereas these are more structured, the toe is more solid. This style is by far superior and I will be buying a back up pair!5Go down if a 7.5 when sometimes can wear a 7 shoe. Go up to an 8 if you never fit into a size 7 shoe.Comfortable, true to size, warm, gripping sole, fits a bit tight on a larger calf or ankle but not uncomfortably. Go up if you fall in between with the half size for a better fit if you find you can never wear the smaller whole size, i.e. 7.5 go with an eight if you never fit into a 7. Bought for my daughter, we both wear 7.5 but her foot is slightly thinner and her arch different so she can sometimes wear a 7 where I cannot. We bought her a 7 because she can sometimes wear a size 7 and it is perfect for her where I would need the 8 because I never fit into a 7 shoe. Great boot!5Too small - had to returnI like this style but the foot part was defective with cut marks by the toes. The leg part is very warm, but the foot part seems less warm. The quality has dramatically changed from the last pair I bought few years ago. The soles are not strong rubber like they used to be. They were cut very small. I'm a size 9 and usually fit into any 9 if it's accurate sizing. Not these - they were oddly tight and small and no way to put an insert for actual support either. Could not make them work - had to return with great disappointment. I still like bearpaw but the quality is not the same as it was. :(3Poor quality! Are they fake? Rejects from Bearpaw?Got these boots to replace my Uggs. I chose the Elle because the noticed the toe area has a firmer form compared to other Bearpaw boots which I like. Color is nice, it seems like real suede, it s a lot more stiff (but it s probably because it s new and needs be broken into..idk.)As for the rest of boots it is disappointing! And makes me question if these are real Bearpaws or if it s even a quality brand like Uggs. If they are, are the boots I got the rejects that didn t pass Quality Control?See pictures:-stitches are over sewn and sloppy-some of the fur is coming off- as I put my foot in, I can feel the unevenness of the fur footbed-You can see the fur sticking out through the horrible stitchingI give it one stars because I like the firm toe area of the boots, but other than that I suggest to buy at an actual store.1Very Fast shipping, Excellent buy, Quality looks Great!!!Very fast shipping!!! For the price of $34.88 each I decided to go ahead and buy 2 pairs. This style of foot bed feels like it has more support to me then the Emma style boot and foot bed/sole. I have CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome ) in my ankle with sensitivity to pressure ect, sometimes swelling up to my knee, I also have Extreme Sensitivity to cold, I live in Bear Paw boots fall until spring. I have to order a size 11 so have enough room around my ankle and also to accommodate insoles, I buy super feet hunters (hope I remembered that correctly) they're not quite as supportive as the other insoles, but they have wool lining on top of the insole, helps to keep my bad foot toasty warm in the cold weather! One pair of my boots came slightly darker, I actually like the color better!!! I must have 7 pairs of Bear Paw boots now, LoL, but I live in the PNW so our winters here can be wet with lots of snow, no matter what they get wet so I have plenty to change into while the others are drying!!!! I will be well prepared for the coming winter!!!5
