Description

  • SPECIFICALLY FOR BAFX PRODUCTS HIKING POLES Designed specifically for use with the BAFX Products hiking poles.
  • ADD TRACTION Using rubber tips on your poles helps to add stability and traction for your hike when traversing over flat smooth terrain such as concrete, asphalt, & more! Using your bare metal tips on such surfaces can cause slipping of the poles
  • PROTECT THE ENVIROMENT Using rubber tips on your poles can help protect the precious beauty of the world around you. When using metal tips hiking on flat rock surfaces, they may scratch the surface of these rocks! With rubber tips on your poles you can help preserve the beauty of the natural environment around you! Keep in mind, some trails REQUIRE that you use rubber tips on your poles!
  • PROTECT YOURSELF Using these tips on your hiking poles adds one more lay of cushioning between the earth and your wrist, helping to reduce the shock on your wrist with each pole placement leading to less fatigue and more hiking!
  • ALWAYS CARRY SPARES Purchase one of our larger packs of tips so that you always have spares handy! We recommend always taking few spares on every hike as tips will wear out with time and can get stuck/lost in muddy areas, it never hurts to have some backups!

Customer Reviews

Tip of top tips on the tip top tip.I wish these could be designed more for city use....even though it s irritating to be out putting weight on my poles and have a tip slip on tile because it s warn...still I like my tips and poles better than walking canes I ve seen.I called REI to look into better quality tips and the salesperson was helpful finding tips that may work for me...but we talked about use and even if it s better quality..probably not much better. Most hiking poles are ment mostly for balance. Since I put weight on mine and do pavement or whatever I walk...she basically said these tips are a better buy. If I go for trips or whatever where I am away from my spare tips I ll need to think to tip a spare tip in my tip storage bag. Usually I d only need 1 spare as I usually only use one pole.An other great Amazon product that I cant complain about....something s nuts besides me! 5Here's a tip for you...What can I say about pole tips? These are just soft enough to feel secure on smooth floors, but hard enough to withstand concrete. They have a reinforcing washer at the bottom of the cup to keep the point of the pole from poking through the tip. They are a nice neutral black color that doesn't call attention to itself and is formal enough for anything but a white-tie dinner. They are heavy enough to keep the center of gravity of the pole low without being a load on the hands. They are a perfect fit on both of my sets of poles. You could even use one of them as an emergency shot glass.Seriously, this is a good product at a fair price -- I'm happy with my purchase. 5Excellent! I put these on the ends of my ...Excellent! I put these on the ends of my snowshoe sticks, so that the poles can double as regular hiking poles as well. They stay on and do the job. 5you guys have the perfect product and after a simpleJust what I needed and being that these rubber tips are quite, if not totally impossible to find, until I visited your site and low and behold, there they were. Always, always, always, you guys have the perfect product and after a simple, quick search, you always come up with just what I needed and at a VERY reasonable rate. 5excellent replacement tipsUse to replace the tips on wife's REI walking sticks. She has lost at least three tips so far, so bulk pack of 5 makes sense- just hope I can find the spares when she loses the next ones. These are bulkier, and use a softer material than the REI tips, but fit securely on the REI poles. They look a little geriatric, but also give a more secure base surface on the ground. 5compund too hard, thus slippery on smooth floors - VERY short lifeI use my Komperdell cane all day, every day, so I wear out tips fairly fast - IF - they aren't very good. The tip that came on the Komperdell in 2007 lasted several years and the replacements I bought several years ago also lasted at least two years each, most closer to three. Then I bought these https://www.amazon.com/Komperdell-Rubber-Regular-Trekking-Black/dp/B000696DOC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469713544&sr=8-1&keywords=komperdell+walk+tip in 2016 and they were terrible! They lasted only a few weeks! Amazon needs to provide a 0 rating choice for such products. See my review for pics of how fast they wore out.So I bought these BAFX tips in April of 2017 to see if they were any good.I've rated them a 2 because in the year since purchased, I've worn out three of them. I consider that pretty poor - only 4 month life. The picture shows one new one and two after 4 months of daily use.In use they are a little bit slippery on smooth floors. They're a fairly hard compound so they don't grip very well. They are fine on concrete and other rough surfaces as well as gravel and dirt. They have a steel washer embedded in the bottom of the hole to keep the cane tip from punching through the bottom - a feature the official Komperdell tips lack. I had to add my own washers. But overall, I'd call the BAFX tips a failure. Not grippy enough and very poor life span. I'll be trying another product soon. 2Perrfect Tip Replacement; Low Cost, Durable & Easy to InstallExact fit for my Pacemaker All-Terrain Stix. After some years of use on rocky or sandy terrain the pole-tips can "push through" the worn tips and create indoor floor scratches. 5Much longer usible life than original rubber tip.The tip that came with my Chinook Hiking pole worn through in 2 months. I replaced it with these BAFX rubble tips and am getting much better life out of them. There is a metal washer inside the tip that prevents the pole's carbide tip from pushing through the rubber tip prematurely. From what I've seen so far, I think I'll get 3 to 4 times the use from these tips, as compared to the original rubber tip. 5Slightly loose for my poles--but still a bargainThese replacement tips were quite economical and enabled me to use my Pinnacle Mountainsmith trekking poles on a recent vacation. The only problem is that they are a very slightly loose fit, and I had one fall off. Fortunately, because there were 5 in the pack, I was able to replace it with one of the remaining tips, and this one did not come off. This is not the first time I have ordered these tips, nor is it the first time that one of the tips has slipped off (when it gets stuck in some kind of crevice). In general, though, I've been very happy with them--I just have to remember to carry some extras with me. 4I made good use of these by putting them on the tip ...These were smaller than expected. I was looking for walking stick (wooden) tips. I made good use of these by putting them on the tip of an assortment of umbrellas I have. They make for a good tool when rain is likely and a walking stick is desired. The quality is good - just not the size I was expecting. These are for use with aluminum or steel walking tools. 5
